GREENWOOD SHAVE HORSE
(ADULT/CHILD)

1 Adult+1 Kid (9 and up)

This 3 day workshop is designed specifically for multi-generational teams to take on the task of building one of the bodger's most fundamental tools--a greenwood shave horse--together!

Kids 7 and up

Learn the ins and outs of wielding sharp objects with appropriate respect and caution. Practice correct terminology, hand position, and get comfortable with monitoring and asserting your 'safety zone' . This 2 hour class is a pre-requisite to signing up for any other class which includes carving or knife work (adults can skip where logical, but may participate if they wish)

TESTIMONIALS

What do participants have to say?

"Brocken is not only passionate and knowledgeable about his kraft, he brings a sense of spirit into his work that is rare to find nowadays."

- Jon

"It's clear that Brocken has spent many years devoted to learning 'the old ways'. Attending this workshop ignited my passion for helping preserve some of these 'forgotten' skills."

- Anna

"I loved learning to whittle, and make the sticks really smooth. I never realized how many things could be made out of wood! I hope I get to try the draw knife next time!"

- Taylor (7)
