PERMACULTURE DESIGN
Permaculture is defined as "the conscious design and maintenance of holistic agricultural and social systems so that they may posses the diversity, sustainability, and resilience of natural ecosystems".
Prior to the coining of the word "permaculture" by Bill Mollison in 1978, indigenous people the world over possessed what they commonly call "Traditional Ecological Knowledge" (also known as T.E.K.) which they practiced and sustained inter-generationally to nurture and care for the abundant environments
of which they were a part.

Today, well executed "Permaculture" attempts to mimic the ways of indigenous wisdom, while also taking into account (and working within the confines of) the land-ownership and agricultural grid
which has been over-laid nearly ubiquitously across the globe.

With an ever-expanding knowledge base around these modes of engagement with the land,
we would love to help you put them into application in your specific space, and offer competitive rates for
consultation & design in Sandpoint and the surrounding areas.
